Mexico Fishing Adventures
I was able to get away last week for a trip to Mexico to attend the wedding of my friends Charlotte Rosewarne and Adam Bachynski. The trip went great, wedding was good and the weather was solid. There were a number of "fish-heads" on this trip and we managed to get out on the saltwater a few days while we were there. The fishing was very good for a number of species...
A nice-sized Jack Crevalle caught on a #14 X-Rap. Scott used this bait the entire trip and there was not of it left when he retired it at the end of the trip.
A big red snapper that fell for a #12 X-Rap. Aren't the colours beautiful on these things!
Not sure what kind of fish this guy is but I caught it on a Northland Live-Forage Minnow Trap. It probably only weighed like 5 pounds but thing took like 10 minutes to land on my bass tackle.
Scott caught two of these fish at the same time on his big X-Rap - they were schooled up just like smallmouths!
A large amber jack - hard fighting critter!
