January Wolf Hunting
My good fishing/hunting buddy Dave Bennett and I were out checking some of our wolf trail cameras yesterday and Dave managed to get lucky and score on this beauty male wolf.

I have been on the ice guiding all week, here are just a few samples of some of the fish we have caught. Wanna know the hottest baits for each species???
Walleyes - 1/4 and 3/8 oz Buck-Shot Rattle Spoons (Super-Glo Redfish, Super-Glo Goldfish and Super-Clo Perch)
Lake trout - 1/2 and 1 oz. Northland Airplane Jigs (Super-Glo Perch and Super-Clo Cisco)
Pike - Bigtooth Rigs, tipped with 6-10 inch ciscos.
We have also had success with whitefish and perch on a variety of spoons.
Check out the action on my wolf baits this morning...notice 7 wolves in one picture. The baits are getting hit really good right now in the COLD weather...walleyes are biting really good too! -Gussy
If you are in Toronto while this show is going on, check it out! Look at the great line up of speakers! -Gussy
I went and grabbed a trail camera this morning on my snow machine that was left out in the woods over freeze up. Below are a couple photos of a big buck from last year and some photos of him from this year. The interesting part of this story is he did not make an appearence throughout the hunting season...I thought maybe he didn't make it through the winter last year, but apparently he did! We have excellent winter conditions for deer at this point so we should have a fantastic hunting season next year! This deer will push "booner" status next year! Book your hunt now! Gussy-
