Busy, busy, busy...
Fishing season is here! I've been staying busy the past few weeks with a few guide trips and some bass tournaments on the weekends. Last week my buddy Caleb Colwell and I took 2nd at the Lake Despair Castin' For Cash tournament. We caught our smallmouths on a variety of baits, including a X-Rap jerkbaits and topwater poppers, and Northland Impulse soft baits.
This past weekend, Chris Savage and I took 5th at the Shoal Lake Big Bass Classic, which wasn't to bad. We made a few decisions that looking back we shouldn't have made and that's the way it goes. The good news was that my Dad and his buddy Dean Smith won the tournament, so that was cool!

This weekend we have a tournament in Kenora - the Bronzeback Classic (www.bronzebackclassic.ca), then the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship next week on Rainy Lake (www.canadianbass.com)
